Studio 210 has been in existence since 1980. Founding members include Deborah Slater, Michele Larsson and Jenny DeBouzek. Numerous teachers, performers and directors have used the space over the years including Steven Rappaport (performer), Joya Cory (writer/director), Lauren Elder (visual artist), Giselle Shepatin (clothing designer), Kathleen Hermesdorff & Albert Mathias (choreographer & musician), Julie Hebert (writer/director), Ellie Herman (Pilates), Carol Hazenfield (improvisation), Chris Cassell (acting) and Helen Stolzfus (A Traveling Jewish Theater) to name but a very few. Current primary members are Deborah Slater and Helen Dannenberg. Ms. Slater is the Managing Director of the space as well as the Artistic Director of the resident company, Deborah Slater Dance Theater.


Studio 210 has been providing affordable audition, rehearsal, and low-tech performance space since 1980. AOTM is currently focusing on producing events at the studio and raising 210's visibility in the community. This includes festivals such as Engaging the Imagination,featuring teachers such as Deborah Hay (dance), Brechin Flournoy (Butoh), Rachel Kaplan (writing), Deborah Slater (performance techniques), The Field (with Maxine Moerman) and Anna Halpern (movement scores) and free Open Rehearsals for National Dance Week.


The space has a wood floor, black curtains, mirrors, a sound system and basic theatrical lighting. Risers can be created for intimate performances.
